5 Ways to Pick Out an Outfit Faster Everyday

Choosing an outfit to wear every day is one of the highlights of my day. When I stand in front of my wardrobe and casually peruse my garments, a plethora of brilliant outfit concepts rush into my thoughts. Although I’m sure this is a highlight for many people in the CF community, I’m also sure that we all have to hurry the style process far too frequently in order to get out the door and on with our day.

For this reason, a year ago I performed some independent study and experimentation and learned how to streamline my morning routine. Here are five ways to streamline the process of selecting an outfit you’ll wear with pride every day.

01. Pick out Your Outfit Inspo the Night Before 

No doubt you have all heard this before, as it is not a secret. However, that popularity is not without foundation, as its practical applications are many. I used to arrange my clothing the night before my 8 a.m. class last semester so that I always looked my best in the morning.

If you don’t feel like digging through your wardrobe the night before, you may discover inspiration for your look the following day on sites like Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, and even Depop. If you do this the night before, you won’t have to waste time rummaging through your closet in the morning.

02. Organize Your Closet

You may think I’m babbling nonsense, but trust me on this one. I spent an entire weekend last year sorting and hanging all of my clothing. I assigned a colour to each task and built corresponding folders, and it has simplified my life immensely. When it comes time to get dressed in the morning, I can quickly and easily find everything I need. DIY projects are a great way to uncover more unique and entertaining closet storage solutions.

03. Purge All the Things in Your Closet You Have Not Worn in Six Months

The second one has to do with arranging your wardrobe neatly. Let me count the ways in which helpful it will be to you to get rid of the clothes you seldom wear from your wardrobe. If you haven’t won it in the last six months, chances are you never will. Seasonally inappropriate or one-off ensembles are not included.

04. Commit to Wearing the First Thing You Put On

To put it mildly, this one can be challenging. But it really does alter the rules of the game. Please understand that I am not requiring you to wear the very first full outfit you put on. When an outfit isn’t working for the day, it’s okay to switch things up a little to discover what does. What I mean is, settle on one part of the ensemble and stick with it. You’ll be able to pick and choose your style options using this guide.

05. Note What Works with a Mirror Selfie 

In the midst of hectic mornings, this is a lifesaver. I’m referring to those mornings when you snoozed your alarms three times and now you have to scramble to get ready and depart. Keep a list of clothes in your phone’s notes or even an album of mirror selfies to assist you recall what works on those days when you’re trying to figure out what to wear.

You may save a lot of time every day by following these suggestions on how to best style your attire. The mornings are more productive now, and I feel like I’ve maintained my own style thanks to them. Whenever I follow these guidelines, my style never goes out of date, and my wardrobe is always just what I need it to be. Everyone in the CF community should give them a try if they want to have a morning without worry and with a sense of style.
